Sometimes Mall Santas get a bad rap.  But it’s safe to say we are very fond of our Santa in Rochester, Minnesota.  Rochester residents have enjoyed photos with Santa at Apache Mall for many years.  The same Santa.  Every year.  Works 80+ hours per week during the holiday season.  But our very own Santa, (aka Jerry Julian) is getting tired.    And he’s hoping to cut back on his hours.

It’s been reported that Apache Mall is considering replacing him.  And Rochester Residents are not happy.   A Facebook Page has been created to help “Save Santa at Apache Mall”.

If you’d like to see our beloved Santa (Jerry Julian) back for more next year, you’re going to have to head on over to the Facebook Page and voice your concerns.

When I was young my mom took me to see that santa and now I am taking my kids to seen him. Out all the years I have taken my kids to different santas they would cry. But with the santa at apache mall would hold both of my kids they wouldnt cry the just sat there and smiled at him. All the years I worked at apache mall he was there and there was always a line to see santa. To be honest Apache mall is just trying to save money. All the times I worked there they were trying to figure out how to save money. I dont think its fare to make him work 12 hours. Apache mall should only work an normal 8 hours.

HE IS THE REAL DEAL.AND I HEARD THERE WAS A DIFFERENT SANTA I WAS DISSAPOINTED THAT I COULDN’T BRING MY DAUGHTER! Our family has brought all the kids and packed them in with him. We have the last grandchild just born. It wouldn’t be the same without him.
