bitter and pour opens in historic 3rd street in downtown rochester

When four local dudes with nearly a Century of combined experience, bring to life a long dreamt up brain child… you get something really beautiful.

Bitter and Pour has opened in Historic 3rd Street in Downtown Rochester and ain’t nobody mad about it.  In fact, local favorite The Tap House sent them flowers to welcome them to the neighborhood.

The perfect compliment to an already charming downtown neighborhood, Bitter and Pour brings a level of chilled out sophistication and exclusivity that Rochester locals & visitors can appreciate.

Good luck finding the way in through a hidden entrance; that’s half of the fun and exactly what they’re about… class with a healthy dose of ‘don’t take yourself too seriously’.

A quaint, dark, high end spot where a young couple can sit down next to a group of retired vets and forget about the world.  FYI, no TV’s; because that’s the vibe.

You’re there to enjoy the experience that owners John, Josh, Andy, and Patrick have worked so passionately to deliver to you.

If you can make it past the entrance, you’ll find a hostess who will seat you & attend to every one of your craft cocktail, wine, bubbly, or brewed needs for the duration of your stay.

The (hidden) door opens at 4pm Tuesday-Saturday allowing 58 coveted (and comfy) seats to be snatched up.

What makes Bitter and Pour different is the extent they’ve gone to keep your experience the best you’ve ever had.  You see… once the 58 seats are taken, doors will close and new visitors will hop on their waiting list.

Said waiting list is operated through a handy app that will text you 10 minutes before your table is ready; just enough time to pay your tab and head over to the land of chill & beautifully crafted spirits.

Once you’re in, enjoy any one of their in-house creations like ‘The Problem Solver’, (Bitter and Pour’s version of the classic Old Fashioned).

If you’re into spicing up your cocktail, you need to try the ‘Yeah, Buddy!’… stg green chile vodka, jalapeno, pineapple syrup, lime, and sea salt.

All bitters, syrups, and juices are made in house so you’re always guaranteed a fresh, quality cocktail prepared by a highly experienced & friendly face.

The menu of wines, bubbles, beers, and cocktails will be carefully selected by part owner and Level 1 Sommelier, Josh, and will be ever changing to keep up with your fancy little taste buds.

All in all, this is where you go to chill out and enjoy a truly exceptional & unique experience; it’s a non-negotiable in terms of best spots to grab a drink in Rochester.

TRR Insider Tip: They’re credit card only & your one and only clue as to how to actually get into this magical land of comfy seats, quality drinks, and captivating conversation is in the photo below.  You’re welcome & good luck to you my sweet Rochester fam!
